UP And Delhi Working Together On Greater Noida To IGI Airport Metro Route Plan


Greater Noida: There is a wonderful news for those who find it really hectic in commuting from Greater Noida to IGI airport, even during non-peak traffic hours, the travel distance is a real time killer. To overcome this issue, Union Urban Development Ministry has solicited the legislatures from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi to together forward a proposition on a rapid Metro join between Greater Noida and IGI Airport, furthermore guided them to set up a detailed venture report (DPR) on the same. This was passed on to authorities of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) and Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (DMICDC) in a meeting gathered by the urban improvement ministry recently. Both GNIDA and DMICDC are working away at the Metro join.

Once set up, inhabitants of Noida and Greater Noida will have the ability to reach IGI Airport in around 55 minutes.

The urban development ministry has said that since transport is a state subject, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi need to mutually forward a proposition to it,” Deepak Agarwal, CEO of GNIDA, who was available at the meeting. “The Ministry has requested a DPR,” he included. As per Agarwal, the arrangement of the track, method of subsidizing for the proposed hallway will all must be worked out together by UP and Delhi. “DMICDC will now compose to both the state governments to work out the modalities before a getting can be set together with the Ministry by and by to push the project further on track,” he said.

“Since Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has the required involvement in constructing Metro tracks in both states, we are likely to contract their administrations to put the track set up. Sources said the proposed Metro link is relied upon to keep running at a rate of 160 km for every hour and will cover a separation of 52.9-km with just five or six station stops on its whole track.

The proposed stations are prone to touch regions of Greater Noida at Bodaki and Pari Chowk, Noida Metro stations, Mayur Vihar stage I and Tughlakabad in Delhi, and Aerocity at IGI Airport.
